22nd July - Pi APPROXIMATION DAY

  •  Pi Approximation Day is observed on 22 July every year because of the value of Pi that is 22/7.
  • While Pi Day is observed on 14th March.
  • Pi APPROXIMATION day is also known as Casual Pi Day, the day is dedicated to the mathematical constant pi (π).


  • Pi denotes the relationship between a circle’s circumference and its diameter and is denoted by the fraction 22/7 which calculates approximately to 3.14.

  • People in countries that write their dates in the date/ month format celebrate Pi Approximation or Casual Pi Day on my 22 July or 22/7. 

  • On the other hand, those who write their date in month/ date format celebrate Pi Day on March 14 (3/14 or 3-14) because the first three digits of the date correspond to the first three digits of pi - 3.14.

Gandhi says - "  EARTH PROVIDES ENOUGH TO SATISFY EVERY MAN'S  NEEDS, BUT NOT EVERY MAN'S GREED."

15th July - WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY

  Theme of 2021 - " Reimagining Youth Skills          Post-Pandemic " Theme of 2022 - " Transforming youth skills for the future" World Youth Skills Day, celebrated every year on 15 July, focuses on the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, entrepreneurship and work.
