Important DAYS

Every year , 17 JUNE is being observed as WORLD DAY TO COMBAT DESERTIFICATION AND DROUGHT . THEME OF 2019 - "LET'S GROW THE FUTURE TOGETHER" THEME OF 2020 - "FOOD, FEED, FIBRE - SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION AND                                                           CONSUMPTION" THEME OF 2021- "RISING UP FROM DROUGHT TOGETHER" THEME OF 2022 -" RISING UP FROM DROUGHT TOGETHER" AIM - 1) to promote awareness of international efforts to combat desertification.             2) to remind everyone the land degradation neutrality is achievable through problem solving ,                strong community involvement and cooperation.             3) to aware people of their sense responsibility . This year UNITED NATION CONVENTION TO COMBAT DESERTIFICATION (UNCCD)  mark the 25 anniversary of the convention in ANKARA , hosted by the government of TURKEY. 12 June is being observed  as the world day against child labour every year since 2002. International Labour Organization (ILO) - a organization of United Nations (UN) recognised 12 June as world day against child labour in 2002. It was spurred by ratification of ILO convention no. -138 which deals with minimum age for employment which is  basically 15 years and the ILO convention no.-182 which deals with worst form of child labour and was adopted on 1992. Theme of this year (2019)- "Children shouldn't  work in field , but on dreams." Last year(2018) theme was-" Generation safe and healthy." Every year this day is observed, so that everyone can focus their attention on the global extent of child labour and can  take actions to eliminate it. But still there is lack of awareness . Goverment should take measures to aware the people ,only then this hurtful situation of children can be prevent. Approximately 152 million children are still in labour. Seve
